Koenigsegg CCGT

Koenigsegg has decided to create race car, based on production car, CCX. This cars name is Koenigsegg CCGT. Because of FIA GT1 series regulations, they reduce power from supercharged engine. CCGT has now 600bhp without superchargers, but engine is enlarged to 5.0 litre. CCX is a very light and stiff car, it weight astounding 1,000 kg but FIA regulations demand 1100 kg, so they had to put ballast on car. That is advantage, because they can freely put ballast within the car structure. However, by further developing the clever and "slippery" design concept of the CC range, Koenigsegg believes they have created a unique package incorporating a surprising amount of down-force combined with a very compact package and optimal weight distribution. It has huge potential.
